Slade praises battling Seaguls
The Seagulls robbed the Pirates of the points 10 minutes either side of half time, with strikes from Lloyd Owusu and Calvin Andrews dragging them out of the League One relegation zone for the first time since Valentine's Day.
Delighted Slade told the club's official website: "Their heads never dropped despite going a goal behind, and that was what I was really pleased with.
"They showed great spirit in the second half, we knew we were better than we played in the first half and it was great that we knew it - they were nodding in agreement with me at half time.
"It was terrific to fight back and get the win.
"The togetherness in the dressing room, and on the terraces, can help keep the Seagulls out of the relegation zone."
