Slade impressed by Hart finale

Hart, 32, had endured an injury-hit campaign but was banging in the goals for the reserves soon after Slade arrived at the Withdean. The new Seagulls chief recalled Hart to the first team and he went on to play a major role in keeping the south-coast club in League One. "I can only go on what I saw. Obviously I saw him in the reserves and saw what he did over the last few weeks in the first team," Slade told the Argus. Defender Andrew Whing was the only other permanent out-of-contract player to be offered new terms, and Slade added: "He put in some very determined performances and he is a whole-hearted guy. "He's an absolute winner and we want to keep him."
