The 25-year-old was enjoying a good season for the Seagulls, scoring 12 goals in 27 appearances before a hernia problem saw him limited to just one appearance after Boxing Day. However, after approaching full fitness before the final league game against Stockport, Slade is confident the £300,000 signing from Rochdale will be ready for action when the squad reconvenes on July 1. "Glenn has got a programme to follow and he will be working hard to be fully fit," Slade told the Argus. "He wants to give himself the best possible chance of being in great condition. "He is doing a lot of core work and Matt Miller (of the club's medical team) will be helping him follow the programme."
