The former Yeovil manager felt Brighton's attitude and tempo proved to be key factors as the they clinched back-to-back victories for the first time since early November by beating Oldham 3-1. Goals before the break by Dean Cox and Lloyd Owusu put Brighton in charge and, although substitute Lewis Alessandra reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute, Owusu sealed victory with his second goal only two minutes later. Slade said: "It was a must-win game for us, we had the better of the chances overall and our first-half performance set things up. "We're in the hands of the 11 who I send out, but the crowd are really getting behind the players. We are trying to win and now we have a bit of momentum going. "Defensively, we were fairly sound."
