Slade delighted by new ruling

Football League chairmen sanctioned an increase from five to seven substitutes, of which three can be used, at their Annual General Meeting in Portugal. Slade told the Argus: "I think it's a good move. At this level we operate sometimes with only one goalkeeper. "I have done that in the past to give me more outfield options but to have a goalkeeper and six other players will be really useful. "It will keep fringe players involved as well and younger players can get an early feel for being part of things."
