The Seagulls took a look at the 17-year-old Lewes prospect over the summer, but he did not do enough to impress. However, he has now been offered a professional contract for the rest of the season after promising performances with the Blue Square Premier side.[LNB]"He had done really well but not enough to make that step," Martin Hinshelwood, director of youth, told the Argus.[LNB]"When he played he didn't impose himself enough and that is why we didn't take him.[LNB]"To be fair to him, he has gone away to Lewes, he has played in their first team in the Conference, he's worked hard at his game and we have seen a vast improvement in him.[LNB]"We felt if we didn't get him back on board we would not be doing the right thing."[LNB][LNB]
