Seagulls give chance to Ricketts
Ricketts, former Brighton left-back Dan Harding and midfielder Danny Spiller have all linked up with the Seagulls ahead of Tuesday's friendly with Havant & Waterlooville.
Slade said: "I will take all the players available to me, because I believe minutes on the pitch now are important. That's all part of our preparation.
"I calculate over the six games how many minutes each player has had. That's an important part of it.
"It is something I have done more recently, because I think you need a more scientific approach to it. It's not just about preparing the XI but the whole squad."
