Seagulls exit for Tunnicliffe

Brighton defender James Tunnicliffe has joined Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old, who joined the Seagulls from Stockport last summer, spent time on loan at MK Dons last season. And he will now gain more valuable first-team experience from another temporary switch. Manager Gus Poyet told the club's official website: "Similar to Jimmy McNulty, James wants to be playing regular first-team football, and I could not guarantee that to him here at Brighton. "There is greater opportunity at Bristol Rovers, so we were happy to let James out on loan for the duration of the season. As with Jimmy at Scunthorpe, we will keep an eye on his progress, as he still has one more year left on his contract with us." Elsewhere, Inigo Calderon has received the green light by the specialist to return to match action after injuring his left hip during the 1-0 victory over Southend back in April.
