Brighton manager Gus Poyet expects to sign his new four-year contract in the next few days. The Uruguayan, recently linked with the vacant Swansea job, has been in talks over a new deal since April and is close to putting pen to paper. "There hasn't been any problems and it's nothing to do with length or money, but there is something in there that we need to sort out," he said. "It's in the hands of the lawyers, there is no problem, but being a long-term contract it is important for everyone that everything is clear." Poyet has also completed the signing of striker Ashley Barnes from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old, who scored four goals during a loan spell with the Seagulls at the end of last season, has agreed a two-year deal.
