Poyet talks up his striker

Gus Poyet has heaped praise on Glenn Murray after the prolific striker missed out on the League One player of the year award. The 18-goal forward was shortlisted for the honour, but saw Peterborough's Craig Mackail-Smith get the nod at Sunday's ceremony. "You want your players to get what you think they deserve, but I'm not going to go against the decision," Poyet told the club's official site. "We are a very good team which Glenn is very much a part of and he's been helping us get to this position because he scores goals. "Goals are the most important thing and that's why strikers get paid the most and are the most expensive to buy."
