Poyet staying positive

Brighton boss Gus Poyet was keen to highlight the positives from his side`s stalemate at Southampton. Albion spurned a golden chance to snatch all three points after 66 minutes. Ryan Dickson was adjudged to have fouled Glenn Murray in the area, but West Brom loanee Chris Wood saw his well-struck penalty saved by Kelvin Davis. Poyet, who guided Brighton to a 3-1 win at St Mary's last season in his first game in charge, was content with a point and paid tribute to Saints. He said: "I think Southampton are a very good team, one of the best in the league and this is a hard place to play. It would have been lovely to repeat the result from last year but we didn`t manage that. "We came to win the game and to play football. It is another point for us and we are still top of the league. "In this season we are going to have ups and downs, for different reasons - maybe luck, referee decisions, because of the confidence of some of the players - but I think we are still doing okay."
