Poyet revels in Seagulls position

Brighton boss Gus Poyet admitted his side are in a commanding position at the top of League One after their 1-0 win at Yeovil moved them four points clear. Elliott Bennett was on target in the first half as the Seagulls survived both early and late pressure to grind out the points. Poyet said: "It was all about doing the business against tough opposition on a difficult pitch, but we did enough to win the game. "We have now moved four points ahead of Bournemouth at the top of the table, and we still have two matches in hand on them, so it is a nice position to be in." He continued: "Elliott Bennett's goal was well taken from the right wing. He can strike from there or in the middle. I think it was the only real action until then (the 27th minute). "We also had two or three half-chances, but we came under some pressure. Brighton don't win matches 1-0 very often. We had to do some defending and our defenders did the job well, especially in the air."
