Poyet pleased to grind out win

Brighton boss Gus Poyet was quick to admit that his side had to battle for the points in their 1-0 win over Brentford. Ashley Barnes had a penalty saved by Richard Lee before an own-goal from Karleigh Osborne gave the table topping Seagulls all three points. Poyet said: "I like my team to play football but sometimes you just have to grind out results and we had to do that. "I thought the lads showed a lot of patience and we might have wrapped it up earlier with the penalty and their keeper making a fantastic save from Elliott Bennett. "This is a difficult place to come so we will take the result however we get it. "It was a physical game and I thought Brentford pushed us hard, but in the end we showed all the right qualities that have put us where we are in the league."
