Poyet has point to prove
Brighton boss Gus Poyet wants his Seagulls side to prove why they are soaring above Sheffield Wednesday at the Withdean on Saturday.
The runaway leaders are 14 places above an Owls side who were expected to be challenging for promotion themselves this season.
"We will respect Sheffield because we were expecting to be around or behind them at this stage of the season," Poyet told Albion's official website.
"Luckily for us we are in a much better position. We need to show why we are in this position and play our own game.
"I have been very surprised by their season. I was expecting them to be in the top three at least, if not at the top of the table at this stage, so it's a big surprise."
