Brighton boss Gus Poyet is revelling in his side`s league position after their 2-0 win at Plymouth sent them to second in npower League One. First-half goals from Tommy Elphick and Ashley Barnes ensured the points returned to the Withdean and meant the Seagulls are behind leaders Huddersfield on goal difference alone. Poyet said: "It's great for us that we have taken the opportunity that the game in hand has given us with a great performance, especially in the first half. "We played really good football in the first half and got the goals and in the second half it was a case of holding on to the lead in the second half because we knew it would be very difficult. "Of course it's nice to be up near the top because people are always looking at us as one of the top six teams. "It's early doors but it's important for us to be in the position we are in."
