Painter missing for Villa cup trip
The on-loan Swansea defender is cup-tied so Jim McNulty is poised to return at left-back.[LNB]Goalkeeper Michel Kuipers suffered a knock towards the end of last week's victory at Walsall but the former Dutch marine has been passed fit.[LNB]Boss Gus Poyet, a cup winner with Chelsea in 2000, therefore has no new injury worries with defenders Adam El-Abd and Colin Hawkins the only absentees.[LNB]El-Abd has begun running after a foot injury and will step up his training next week, but Hawkins is set to go under the knife in a bid to clear up his long-term heel problem.[LNB][LNB]
