The 27-year-old will join the Seagulls from MK Dons on a two-year deal on July 1 after completing a medical on Friday morning. "It's good to be here. I'm happy to have signed and it's a new challenge for me," he told the club's official website. "The club has great ambition, the manager has really impressed me and it was time to move on from MK Dons. "I spoke to a few clubs but as soon as I found out that Brighton were interested and I spoke to the manager, I decided straight away that I wanted to come here. "I've heard quite a lot about him [Slade], and I've played against some of his teams before. I know what he's like, I've spoken to him and that's one of the main reasons for coming here. "He wants to be up there and that appeals to me because for the last three years I've had two promotions and been in the play-offs. I know last season it was difficult down here but from how things sound and the ambition of the club we're going to make a big push for promotion."
