New boss plays down Glovers exit

Slade departed Huish Park on the back of three consecutive victories, chairman John Fry claiming at the time that he was unable to explain the reason behind the move for "legal reasons".[LNB]"I'm positive that our fans would completely endorse the decision of the board, if I was able to share full details of the circumstances, but for the moment I am bound by confidentiality issues," he said in a statement.[LNB]However, Slade was happy to play down any controversy and told Sky Sports News: "It's just one of those things and it happened. It was mutual consent in the end and both of us move on to pastures new.[LNB]"I enjoyed my time there and I'm pleased with my work there."[LNB][LNB]
