The 23-year-old defender, who has started just six games this season following his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury, is hoping that playing regular football with the Seagulls can earn him a new contract at the Liberty Stadium.[LNB]"I'm a Swansea City player and I want it to remain that way," Painter told Swansea's official website. "I'm not ready to call time on my stay here just yet.[LNB]"I want to use the loan spell to help Brighton and help myself progress with Swansea City.[LNB]"To do that I need to start playing regularly again. Since the injury I haven't been able to put a run of games together, even though I am now fully recovered.[LNB]"I am not one to sit on the sidelines. I'm a bit impatient. It's been frustrating because I want to play regularly again - and I feel ready to do that."[LNB][LNB]
