Brighton midfielder Loft, 22, completed an initial one-month loan deal on transfer deadline day and is expected to go straight into manager John Still's squad for Saturday's clash at Bury. Palmer has started in the Daggers' last two games since arriving from Leyton Orient.

Loft told the Ilford Recorder: "My contract is up in the summer and I'm not sure what is happening at the moment, so if everything goes well for Dagenham, then who knows.

"It's up to the manager whether I start on Saturday, but I will be ready if that is the case.

"I like to attack and get forward. I try to nick a few goals too, so that is what I will be aiming to do."

Palmer, 22, added: "I've been at Orient since I was nine. I'm 22 now so I think a change is best for me. The boys at Dagenham are different class."
