Hinshelwood rues Robinson exit

Robinson, 22, was released by Albion in May and now has the chance to revive his career with the Shrews after agreeing a two-year deal. Hinshelwood, who was formerly the club's director of youth, told the Argus: "Sometimes kids need a change and to go somewhere else. If Jake is honest with himself he probably did not do as well as he would have liked at Brighton after breaking into the team at the age of 16. "He has probably had five or six different managers since then, which does not help. This is a good move for him now. He will grow up a bit more, being away from the area. Shrewsbury have signed a player that is still learning about the game and hopefully he will put them in the frame for promotion again next season. "They have got a nice new stadium and Paul Simpson is the type of manager who wants to pass and play, which I think will suit Jake. "I am disappointed in a way, because he has come through the youth set-up and not fulfilled what he could have done here but it is probably time for him to move somewhere else."
