Greer blow for promotion-chasing Seagulls

Brighton will be without skipper Gordon Greer as they attempt to secure promotion against Dagenham. Greer was sent off during Saturday's 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday and starts a four-match suspension as it was his second red card of the season. Tommy Elphick will step in at centre-half with full-back Inigo Calderon poised to take the captain's armband. Midfielder Jamie Smith could be added to the squad having recovered from a foot injury and striker Chris Holroyd is available after returning from his loan spell at Bury. Full-back Jim McNulty is the only injury absentee as he continues his recovery from an ankle operation. The Seagulls know they will be promoted to the Championship with a victory over the Daggers.
