Forster relishing Villa cup challenge

Forster will lead the line for the Seagulls at Villa Park on Saturday as the League One side look to spring a major FA Cup fourth-round shock.[LNB]And the evergreen 36-year-old saw enough on Wednesday night to suggest he can add to his 14-goal tally at Villa Park.[LNB]"All the lads watched the match and came away with mixed feelings," Forster said.[LNB]"They are very potent going forward - but on the other hand there might be some chances to score.[LNB]"It will obviously be a different game - I certainly hope there won't be 10 goals because that would mean we have probably done a few things wrong.[LNB]"We are one of the lowest-ranked teams left in the competition so it's a bit of a David v Goliath. But we will be going out there to ask them some questions."[LNB]Brighton will take 6,000 fans to the west Midlands in a clash which has captured the imagination and rekindled some of the magic of the cup on the south coast.[LNB]Villa, who still have genuine top-four ambitions, are expected to rest players but Forster wants to face their big guns.[LNB]"We all saw Leeds win at Manchester United and that opened up some of the romance again this year," he added.[LNB]"I think the League Cup has lost some of it's credibility with the youth sides that teams like Arsenal can field.[LNB]"But we are hoping they play most of their first team and don't make sweeping changes. They might have a big game against Arsenal in the week but our game, at Stockport, is just as big for us."[LNB]Forster hopes Saturday's glamour tie will signal the start of an upturn in fortunes for the Seagulls, who have an impressive new manager in Chelsea legend Gus Poyet and a new stadium finally on the horizon in 2011.[LNB]"I hate to use the phrase but Brighton is a sleeping giant," he said. "We have a huge catchment area but we've been stifled by our location for years.[LNB]"But we are starting to re-emerge, we have a new stadium coming up so we will become a bigger force. I can't see why we couldn't push on and do something like Reading did.[LNB]"The manager has already made a huge difference. He's made important changes to how we play and how we act.[LNB]"He has an 18-month contract but I am certain he will be here a lot longer than that. I firmly believe he will be the manager who leads us to our new stadium."[LNB][LNB]
