El-Abd out of Carlisle clash

Brighton boss Gus Poyet will be without defender Adam El-Abd for the home clash with Carlisle. The centre-back will begin a two-match ban after accumulating 10 yellow cards this season, so Tommy Elphick will take his place in the starting line-up against the Cumbrians. Fellow defender Radostin Kishishev is likely to be added to the squad following his return to training after a month out with back and then personal problems. Midfielder Alan Navarro is also back in training following seven months on the sidelines with ruptured cruciate ligament damage, although he is unlikely to feature in the first team until he has more reserve-team action under his belt. Long-term absentees Jim McNulty (foot) and Jamie Smith (foot) will miss out again as they continue their rehabilitation.
