Duo missing for Brighton

20 August 2010 10:00
Brighton will be without Gordon Greer and Matt Sparrow when they head to Sheffield Wednesday. Skipper Greer begins a three-match suspension after his sending-off on his debut against Rochdale last weekend, and Sparrow is halfway through his three-game ban for a red card at Northampton. With the Seagulls short of numbers 37-year-old assistant-manager Mauricio Taricco played at left-back for the reserves in midweek, his first game since he turned out for West Ham in 2004, and he could be involved as cover. Midfielder Alan Navarro is a long-term absentee with cruciate damage and defender Lewis Dunk is still sidelined with a foot injury. Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan has had the cast removed from his wrist and is a week away from returning to training.
