Dixon walking away from football

Dixon is concentrating on his involvement in the music business and other projects following 18 months in the wilderness with the Seagulls. The Spanish-born frontman, who cost £55,000 from Aldershot in January 2008, agreed a financial settlement with Albion last week on the year remaining on his contract after making just two first-team starts. He told the Argus: "I am not looking to play again right now. The last year was difficult for me, one of frustration and then almost emotional apathy. "Right now I have lost my love of the game and I have got other things which I have always done. Since the age of 16 I've been a partner in a music management business and there are different things I am working on. "I am looking at taking a little bit of time out, because I have been a pro for eight years and played since I could walk. Who knows what will happen in the future but for now I am taking a break."
