'Criminal' defending upsets Virgo

12 April 2009 11:11
Virgo had put the Seagulls ahead, but they conceded three goals in the opening 11 minutes of the second half to leave themselves facing a mammoth task to avoid relegation with five games remaining. "I thought we played really well in the first half and was confident, but it was criminal to concede three," said Virgo. "We gave away sloppy, bad goals and if we play like that we won't stay up. It is a sickener and is the way the season has gone. "It's easy to see that our confidence is not great, but it was quite amateur to concede in the way we did. "The writing is not on the wall yet. But a lot of things have gone wrong this season and it is hard to take."
