Calderon banned for Seagulls

Brighton host Leyton Orient without Inigo Calderon on New Year`s Day. The Spanish defender was shown a red card for a crunching tackle on midfielder Therry Racon as the Seagulls drew 1-1 with Charlton. Alan Navarro is a long-term injury absentee as he recovers from serious cruciate ligament damage sustained in the Carling Cup clash with Northampton. The influential midfielder will not be able to play any part in Brighton`s npower League One campaign until at least mid-February. Young striker Chris Holroyd has returned to the club following a successful loan spell at Stevenage where he scored six goals in 12 appearances. He was an unused substitute in the draw with the Addicks and may continue on the bench. Gus Poyet`s side are yet to be beaten in the league at the Withdean Stadium this season.
