Greer in Seagulls frame

Brighton captain Gordon Greer could return from injury for the FA Cup visit of Reading.

The Scotland defender has been out for a month with a calf problem but is back in training and will be assessed before kick-off.

Right-back Bruno is also on the mend after a thigh problem but the match may come just too soon for him, while winger Will Buckley (hamstring) and strikers Craig Mackail-Smith (Achilles) and Will Hoskins (knee) remain sidelined.

Boss Oscar Garcia may freshen up his side with the likes of Kemy Agustien, Lewis Dunk, Keith Andrews and Adam Chicksen pushing for starts.

Injury-hit Reading can welcome back defender Kaspars Gorkss from suspension.

Winger Jordan Obita could also return following a virus but the Royals still have eight players on the casualty list.

Former Seagulls full-back Wayne Bridge and fellow defender Sean Morrison have knee problems, Chris Baird has rolled his ankle and Jobi McAnuff has a foot injury.

Hal Robson-Kanu is out for a fortnight with a calf knock, Mikele Leigertwood (ankle) could be back next month and Jason Roberts (hip) and Jem Karacan (cruciate) are long-term absentees.
