Crofts banned for Brighton

Brighton will be without Andrew Crofts for the visit of Sky Bet League Two side Cheltenham.

Crofts was given a straight red for a dangerous challenge on Sam Hutchinson in the Seagulls' opening-day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and he will serve a three-match ban as a result.

Midfielder Solly March could be involved after recovering from a minor back injury which saw him miss the season opener.

Dale Stephens will be absent from the tie as his ankle problem continues to keep him sidelined.

Cheltenham will make the trip without Asa Hall.

The summer signing from Shrewsbury limped off just eight minutes into his debut at Bury with a calf injury and he looks set for between four and six weeks on the sidelines.

His replacement at Gigg Lane, Joe Hanks, went on to score the game's only goal and manager Mark Yates has hinted the youth product will be given a chance from the start at the Amex Stadium.

Yates also confirmed that captain Matt Taylor and Steve Elliott are likely to continue their new partnership at the heart of the defence despite Taylor's lack of match practice having suffered injuries during pre-season.
