Kuszczak boost for Brighton

Brighton goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is expected to return to Gus Poyet's starting XI for the visit of Bolton on Saturday.

The Seagulls number one and former Manchester United shot-stopper missed the 2-1 defeat of Huddersfield last week after being forced to withdraw with a finger infection picked up while on international duty with Poland in midweek.

Second choice Casper Ankergren was also unavailable with a thumb injury so Peter Brezovan deputised for Brighton between the posts.

Ankergren is fit again so Poyet must choose which goalkeeper to feature on the bench.

Left-back Wayne Bridge is the only doubt for the Seagulls. The Manchester City loanee missed out last weekend with the calf injury that saw him travel to Germany to seek a specialist opinion.

Stephen Warnock is a doubt for Bolton.

The Aston Villa loanee was substituted after only 32 minutes of the Trotters' 1-1 draw against Barnsley last Saturday due to illness, and is facing a race against time to prove he will be fit to face Poyet's side.

The 30-year-old defender was replaced by Tyrone Mears against the Reds, and Mears is likely to start at the Amex should Warnock not travel, with Sam Ricketts moving to left-back.

David Ngog also left the field against Keith Hill's men, but he is expected to keep his place in the starting XI.

Knee injury victims Stuart Holden, Andy Lonergan, David Wheater and Josh Vela all continue their recoveries.

The Lancashire club are unbeaten under Dougie Freedman, but have won just one of their last six games.
