Hughton waits on Zamora

Brighton boss Chris Hughton will check on Bobby Zamora ahead of the visit of Blackburn.

Striker Zamora has yet to make his second Seagulls debut since rejoining the club this summer as he was short of fitness and also felt a tight groin during training last weekend, but Hughton says he is close to being available.

Midfielder Andrew Crofts is back in action after knee surgery but he will not be risked, instead continuing to build up his fitness in the Under-21 team on Monday.

Hughton could add Connor Goldson to his squad after signing the defender from Shrewsbury on Wednesday evening.

Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes is once again doubtful with his ankle injury.

Having been on the wrong end of a robust tackle against former club Huddersfield last Saturday, Rhodes was unable to feature in midweek with the problem and now faces another race against time to be available.

Manager Gary Bowyer confirmed fellow forward Fode Koita would be okay, though, despite the fact he came off against Cardiff on Tuesday with a knee problem.

Chris Brown (knee) and Chris Taylor (groin) are the other two absentees for the east Lancashire club, who will have midfielder Corry Evans available again too following a thigh strain.
