Brighton boss Chris Hughton warns against complacency in top-two mission

Brighton and Burnley are hoping to take advantage of the Sky Bet Championship top two's weekend away from league duty in the race for automatic promotion.

Table-topping Hull have another FA Cup tie with Arsenal while Middlesbrough, who were due to play Reading, have a free Saturday before entertaining Cardiff on Tuesday.

The Bluebirds welcome Brighton to south Wales, first, though, and Seagulls manager Chris Hughton has warned against complacency as his men bid to get back into the top two.

"They're capable of beating any team at home," he told a press conference.

"They gave a good account of themselves at the Amex earlier this season and a lot of the players from then are still in the squad. We can't afford to take this game lightly."

The Clarets have also been given the favourites tag for a home clash with Neil Warnock's struggling Rotherham at Turf Moor.

"We know the reality of the challenge in a tough league and in this topsy-turvy league you have to make sure you focus on every game, which we have made a really strong showing of," manager Sean Dyche said on Burnley's official website.

"You want belief, but that belief can't become arrogance and I'm really pleased that we don't do that."

Fellow high-fliers Sheffield Wednesday visit Preston in the week North End manager Simon Grayson celebrated three years at the helm while Derby visit Brentford.

New Rams boss Darren Wassall suffered defeat to MK Dons in his first match at the helm, yet he remains convinced the club can achieve their goal of promotion.

"Nobody at this football club is negative about the next 15 games," he told Rams Player HD. "We are all really positive, players and staff alike, that we can turn this run of form around."

Bolton and Charlton, who - along with Rotherham - occupy places in the bottom three, are both in action against London clubs QPR and Fulham respectively, while MK Dons and Bristol City will hope to put further distance between them and the relegation zone when they meet.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield host Wolves following the Terriers' victory over Nottingham Forest, their first in five league games.

"We now have this opportunity for back-to-back wins," manager David Wagner noted on Huddersfield's official website.

"If we are able to find our identity again very quickly, I think we have a chance to (make it) be uncomfortable for Wolverhampton and we can beat them."
