Boss frustrated in striker hunt

Brighton boss Gus Poyet has accepted defeat in his search for a new striker after being priced out of the market. Poyet was on the look-out for a front man to add to the current attacking talents at his disposal which include Glenn Murray, Ashley Barnes and on-loan West Brom forward Chris Wood. However, he will now stick with what he has got as he looks to lead the Seagulls to promotion from npower League One. Poyet told The Argus: "There was no chance of getting the ones we wanted. We were possibly aiming too high but that is because we want to get better. The prices were crazy, even in this division, or the Championship. "We couldn't really afford them and we are not going to bring in a body, it's about quality. "If you ask me now the value of Glenn (Murray) and Ash (Barnes) then, from what I have been told about other players, I think people would be surprised. I don't think there is a team going to be able to buy them because the price is going up every day."
