Adams rues crucial penalty call

11 February 2009 11:29
The match was poised at 2-2 when George Boyd was tripped by Adam Virgo in the area and Dean Keates fired Posh ahead from the spot, before Aaron McLean's second sealed the win for the visitors.[LNB]But Adams said: "The penalty was given even before Boyd cut inside. Boyd conned the referee."[LNB]He added: "Defensively we need to be better. The two goals we conceded were very disappointing from a defensive point of view.[LNB]"But there were positives, most notably Craig Davies and Jim McNulty scoring on their debuts, and this was a match that we lost with our boots on.[LNB]"The result flattered Peterborough. They were flattered to be 2-2 at half-time and our performance gave me heart."[LNB][LNB]
