Adams axed by struggling Seagulls

Adams returned to the Withdean Stadium last May, after previously managing the club from 1999 to 2001.[LNB]The former Leicester and Coventry boss oversaw 40 games during his second stint on the South Coast, winning just nine times.[LNB]Brighton currently find themselves in the League One relegation zone, two points from safety.[LNB]A statement on the club's official website read: "The Albion manager met with chairman Dick Knight yesterday (Friday) afternoon, and following lengthy discussions about the team's current league position, it was mutually agreed that in the best interests of the club Adams should stand aside."[LNB]Knight said: "Nobody would dispute that results have been disappointing and I am very sad, as all Albion fans will be, that things haven't worked out."[LNB]Dean White and Bob Booker will take charge of Brighton for Saturday's game at Millwall and Tuesday night's home clash versus Northampton Town.[LNB][LNB] Millwall v Brighton.
