Gillingham midfielder Craig Stone has extended his loan spell at League Two side Brentford.

The 19-year-old has seen the Bees win two and draw one of the three games he has featured in so far.

Gills manager Mark Stimson was delighted that the youngster could continue to gain experience, saying: "Craig Stone is going to have another month at Brentford.

"He has made three appearances and they have liked him. We think it is in the best interests of Craig and the club if he stays there another month.

"What we can do now is call him back within 24 hours if we need to as he has completed the first month.

"That is a massive bonus for us."
