Spurs starlet joins Bees

Brentford manager Andy Scott is thrilled to have tempted Tottenham defender Leigh Mills to join the Bees on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old, who has represented England at Under-19 and Under-20 levels, helped Spurs win the Premier Reserve League in the 2005-06 campaign.

Scott told Brentford's official website: "He's a very talented player that I've been keeping an eye on for a couple of years now.

"He's an uncompromising centre-half who I'm sure will settle in well in League Two.

"He's desperate to do well, he wants to play games and gain experience of league football - he has a real hunger to succeed."
