Scott's boys kickstart season

Brentford boss Andy Scott is looking up the table after his side's 2-1 derby win over Charlton lifted them off bottom spot. First-half goals from Gary Alexander and Toumani Diagouraga put Brentford 2-0 up, but Charlton's Scott Wagstaff ensured a nail-biting finale for the Bees with a stinging volley 16 minutes from time. Scott said: "I'm delighted with the win, but we could have made it a bit easier. The first half was fantastic and I thought we were excellent, but after the break we got deeper and looked a little bit nervy. "Charlton started to miss out the midfield and go direct which caused us a few problems, but we still created chances and could have wrapped it up well before the end. "To get a win against Charlton was a great result given their recent form and particularly with the fact that we have quite a growing injury list. "We started the game well with a good tempo and hopefully we can use this win as a platform to build and start climbing up the league."
