Scott toasts Bees' title success

Ecstatic Brentford boss Andy Scott believes his side have deserved to clinch this season's League Two title.

The 3-1 victory at Darlington confirmed the Bees' promotion following several seasons in the doldrums.

Scott said after the success: "It's been a very long last five to six weeks with all the injuries we've suffered, but this is a massive achievement for the players and the club.

"I feel we've been the best team in League Two this season and thoroughly deserve it. The players I've brought in have vindicated me doing so.

"Some of them have been in and out of the side, but have always come in and done a job when they've been asked to.

"I've not really thought about it as an achievement for myself. Everybody has played their part, especially those behind the scenes who work for us for free.

"The crowds have been fantastic too and will be rewarded with some big games next season, there's no reason why we shouldn't be hitting 10-12,000 at Griffin Park."
