Brentford have confirmed the appointment of Andy Scott as their new permanent manager.
Scott stepped into the breach following the sacking of Terry Butcher a month ago and has guided the Bees to three wins and a draw in five games.
Chairman Greg Dyke told the club's official website: "In the five games since Andy took charge we have won three, drawn one and lost just one and as a result got ourselves back into a mid-table position.
"If we could have averaged two points a game since the start of the season, we would be up there challenging for promotion.
"It's the view of the board that with this great run over the Christmas period, Andy has earned the chance to show us and the fans that he can maintain this level of performance.
"Under Andy's leadership a team that looked to be in trouble has suddenly come alive."
