Scott hails Bees' character

Brentford boss Andy Scott admitted to having mixed feelings after Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley.

Jordan Rhodes' stoppage-time equaliser sent the Bees to the summit of the League Two table and Scott was pleased to see his side battle until the final whistle in difficult conditions.

He said: "We're disappointed and we're top of the table! There will be a lot of disappointed supporters of Wycombe, Bury and Rochdale when they see we've scored a late equaliser.

"We're top of the league and are now there to be shot at. We're where we want to be with 16 games left.

"All our players showed a lot of character and you can't fault them for effort. The conditions were treacherous but we scored a good goal."
