Brentford manager Andy Scott is confident he is the right man to take the club forward after agreeing a new five-year contract earlier in the week.
Scott, 35, took over at Griffin Park in January following the departure of former boss Terry Butcher and will lead the club to a mid-table finish this season.
"I will be looked at by what I put on the pitch and the way we play," said the former Brentford striker.
"I believe I am the man for the job and the board think that too.
"It has been a busy five months since I took over and the reason I signed the contract is I believe the board has the same goals as me.
"They are confident I am the man for the job and I need to make sure they have made the right decision.
"I will work very hard during the summer, hopefully bringing in players that the fans will appreciate, improve our squad and make us a stronger unit."
