Scott warns against complacency

The Bees gained promotion this season by clinching the League Two title and Scott is already working on finding new players to increase the competition for places at Griffin Park, while Lewis Ferrell has signed a professional contract. "There is no room for sentimentality here," he told the South London Guardian. "Primarily I'm looking at bringing in players who are going to put pressure on the ones we have here for a place in the starting line-up. "The players will not be able to live off last season's success for long. If they are not performing there is going to be someone there eager to come in and replace them. "I can't afford to let anyone get too carried away with their success. There are people who need to back up last season by delivering consistent performances again this time around. "We need to have the ability to be able to change the way we are playing during the game and I don't mean by making substitutions. We need more flexibility among the players on the pitch to adapt to certain situations without necessarily bringing fresh legs on."
