Scott: Bees must kick on

Brentford boss Andy Scott has urged his side to build on their impressive Carling Cup victory against npower Championship side Hull. Marcus Bean's late header secured victory for the Bees at Griffin Park after Robbie Simpson had cancelled out Mark Cullen's early opener. "I was very happy with the way we played," said Scott. "We got the ball in good areas and we stopped them playing and could have had a couple more. "We've brought in a lot of new players but I was delighted with their work ethic to keep going right to the end. "Consistency is the key and we need to make sure we take that kind of performance into the league. "Hull is a good scalp for us and anyone watching would have thought that we were the higher-placed side."
