Saunders injury could sting Bees

Sam Saunders is an injury doubt for Brentford ahead of the visit of Colchester. The in-form winger limped out of the 1-0 win at Rochdale with an ankle knock which could be a recurrence of the injury which kept him out for three weeks recently. Striker Gary Alexander (knee) and defender Leon Legge (groin) missed out against Dale and will be checked over. Goalkeeper Richard Lee is still out with a shoulder injury and loan cover Trevor Carson has gone back to Sunderland for treatment on a knee problem, so rookie Simon Moore keeps his place with coach Simon Royce, 39, on the bench. Charlie MacDonald is also on the sidelines with an ankle injury and fellow forward Nicholas Bignall has returned to parent club Reading.
