Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior is hopeful that striker Lloyd Owusu will be back from a long-term groin injury within six weeks.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian suffered the injury at the end of last season, which ended his dreams of playing in the summer World Cup finals and has kept him out of the Bees' side for the start of this new League One campaign.
Owusu was closing in on a return to action before suffering a slight setback which added another fortnight to his recovery. However Rosenior is now starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.
He said: "Lloyd has had a bit of a setback and we will probably have to delay his return by a couple of weeks.
"But he had the stitches out and he is starting to move forward. We are just waiting for the all-clear.
"I hope we would have him back by the middle or the end of October."
