Phillips signs new Bees deal

Brentford central defender Mark Phillips has signed a new one-year contract at the club with a further 12-month extension. The former Millwall player joined the Bees last August and made 28 appearances in his first season. The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm really happy with how things have turned out. "The negotiations took a while but there was no panic and I'm pleased to be staying at the club."
