Phillips eyes longer Bees deal

The former Millwall man is out of contract at Griffin Park and has already been offered a new contract by manager Andy Scott for next season. But the 27-year-old would rather be given the security of a two-year deal at Griffin Park. He told the Ealing Gazette: "I made 37 appearances of high quality and we also had the best defensive record in the division. "The length of the contract is an issue. Two years is what I really want so my long-term future is secured. "I want to stay at Brentford but there's a long way to go from a contract being offered and being signed."
