Osborne: We can follow path of Saints
Karleigh Osborne insists Brentford are not far away from being good enough to emulate Southampton and push for promotion next season.
The Bees were comprehensively beaten 3-0 on Saturday by Nigel Adkins' side, who are close to securing second spot and a place in the npower Championship.
However, the outcome could have been different had Sam Saunders not missed a penalty, while defender Osborne was in the side which defeated Saints 2-0 at St Mary's back in December.
"I don't think we are far away from them, we beat them when we played them away," he said.
"It's about consistency and taking chances. We want to finish the season on a high now and come back next season and go from there."
